On the Road with Cricut Part 1

It's hard to believe it was just a year ago that we were hanging out with some of our favorite crafters and most influential bloggers at Cricut's launch party for Explore Machine! We had the privilege of planning and designing this fun filled road trip inspired 2 day event with the Cricut team and even we had no idea just how much fun we were in for with this group! Luckily Jill Thomas Photography was there to capture it all!

With a traveling truck load of vintage furniture, 7 helium tanks, 11 custom created backdrops, a stellar team of vendors and more Cricut crafts than you can count we knew we had the makings of an amazing event! In the days that ensued, we survived on little to no hours of sleep and sipped on endless cups of hot chocolate during set up and for a moment got to be a part of the Cricut family, which is a really great place to be. At the end of 2014 it still remained one of our top highlights of the year! Naturally, we've been dying to share it with you!

Bloggers & Guests traveled in from all across the country and landed in Salt Lake City, Utah for the big Cricut reveal. Their travels didn't stop there! Guests were greeted at The Little America hotel where we kicked things off with a big Americana welcome reception to introduce the new Cricut Explore! It was time to enjoy the open road and we were all about taking them there! Guests found their names and seating assignments on polaroids that held images of their destination and led them to their corresponding state where they joined their fellow travelers at their tables. Place settings were made up of wood chargers and vinyl created with Cricut's own Explore. In addition, guests were favored with boxes of macaroons or "a sweet ride" and invited to join in on bingo during dinner. Some lucky bingo winners also got to get their hands on the spinning wheel and claim their prizes that we packaged in what else but suitcases? We had so much fun pairing up with Peanut Press on this project for all the fun paper pieces and of course Ashley Beyer from Tinge Floral was a no-brainer when it came to choosing someone to collaborate with for flowers and blooms!
